Hayakawa town is located in southwest of Yamanashi prefecture, and it is such a beautiful town with rich nature. Hayakawa town is embraced at the base of Southern Alps which is an altitude over 3,000 meters continued from “Kitadake”, the highest peak of Southern Alps that is the second highest mountain in Japan.
The area of this town is about 370 square kilometers and the forests account for 96% of the town. The population of town is 1,040 people (as of January, 2020) and it is known as “the least populated town in Japan”.
