UNESCO Biosphere Reserves Kagiya – a café renovated old-fashioned Japanese-style home

The warmth of the café renovated old-fashioned Japanese-style home in the deep mountains gives you such an inner peace…

Kagiya was reopened after the renovation as UNESCO Biosphere Reserves – a café renovated old-fashioned Japanese-style home.

The exhibits based on the theme of ten cities, towns, and villages registered by UNESCO Biosphere Reserves and some other related BR are displayed at the dirt floor right after entering.

At the café, you can enjoy meals, sweets, and coffee with local products in Hayakawa.

The plates used for dishes at café are made by artists in Hayakawa and you can purchase them there.

Enjoy your time that is going by so slowly and quietly at the hall-in-the-wall café in the deep mountains.
