Mountain Cottage – Japanese traditional renovated guest house “Tsukuyomi Sansou”

This is the place called “Tsukuyomi Sansou” where you can speak the same language with people close to you while surrounding the fire and enjoying the view of the moon.

 

 

The capacity of this Japanese traditional renovated guest house is 10 people.

The guest house is located at a hill of the village, and you can enjoy the fresh green leaves and autumn leaves of the mountains in front of the house. The fields of grass with comfortable breeze coming from the valleys spreads out below you. All you can see in the night sky will be shinning stars! You can overlook the whole, entire view from the pouch and garden of the house.

We provide an Irori (a traditional Japanese hearth), a wood stove, and BBQ grill

When entering through the front door, you will see a traditional Japanese hearth called an Irori in front of you and a wood stove on your right. Having a meal surrounding the fire and making time for conversation with people close to you will bring you the upmost happiness.
This kind of environment must be the most effective way of building and strengthening a bond among the people and must have been there since long tine ago.

Main house with two unique annexes

There are two annexes of main house outside.
One is called “Bunko (a book collection)”.
The characteristic of this annex is that book shelves are occupying all the walls and there is a loft. The books related to the living and food in mountains are collected and the loft is used as a space for reading books.
The other is called “Kobako (a small wooden box)”.
This annex is a mountain hut style and is built with small wooden boxes and boards attached to the walls.
Those decollated wooden boxes are used to be ornaments in the main house and now are reused for our good memories of the main house.

Access Enter the Prefectural Road 37 (Minami-Alps Park Line) from Iitomi intersection and Kamisawa intersection on National Route 52.
Osukuni is located on the way to Nishiyama Hot Spring and Narada Hot Spring.


Osukuni is just ahead of Fumoto no Chokubaijo (Produce stand) and Yamamepia (Fish pond), and just at front of the restaurant “Soba restaurant - Alps”.

　(1) Facility usage charge: 17,000 JPY (22,000 JPY for Saturday and the day before National Holiday)
　(2) Service fee: 3,500 JPY for self-catering/person, 8,000 JPY for with two meals/person * This price setting is that the accommodation fee per person will get cheaper when accommodating with many people.
